Most definitely the American Idol girls are waaayyyy better than the boys and they proved it yet again last night. My predictions to go home: Sanjaya Malakar, Phil Stacey, Antonella Barba, and Haley Scarnato.

It should be interesting to see what happens. I know that Sanjaya has a huge following online amongst the teens but let's face it...it's just not gonna happen with him moving on. Obviously Antonella is nowhere near where a majority of the girls are and hopefully in light of the racy pictures, America made the right choice and did not choose her to move on. But this is American Idol and who knows what will happen.

I'm looking forward to seeing Carrie Underwood tonight as well - she is one of my favorite Idols to date.

Contract dispute between Heigl and ABC

Oh my...

On the heels of a story posted early today that Katherine Heigl (Dr. Izzie Stevens of Grey's Anatomy, duh) walked out on contract talks regarding her salary, ABC issued a statement:

"Katherine is an integral part of Grey's Anatomy and its success. Fortunately, we have a long term contract to ensure she'll be with the show for several years to come. In recognition of her tremendous talent and value to the show, we recently approached Katherine with an offer to raise her compensation significantly above the terms of her current contract. We were surprised to see this gesture reported negatively in the press, and want to reassure fans that she will continue as Izzie Stevens.''

ABC better not screw this up. She is one of my favorite actresses on the show and if she doesn't come back, it will definitely change the whole scheme of things over at GA for me.

Gotta catch up with Days of Our Lives

I definitely love my TiVo but unfortunately I keep forgetting to program it so it doesn't delete all of my Days of our Lives shows. I hardly have the time to watch it anymore. Luckily I've been able to catch up on Soaps.com. There's a daily recap section on DOOL. I've been peeking at the message boards too. Lots of nice spoilers on there, heh heh. I love finding out what's going to happen. I don't like being kept in the dark - you know how the soaps go, they drag storylines on forever. So don't fret if you miss an episode, get your daily fix on soaps.com!

American Idol - The Boys

Just got done watching AI tonight. I think overall they did much better than last week but there were still some iffeys. Sanjaya still did nothing for me (although my daughter Kaitlyn totally loves him) and I was pretty bored by Nick Pedro. I dunno...something about that guy. I'm just not really impressed by him. I loved Blake Lewis' rendition of Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai. I strongly disagree with Simon's assessment that he thought it was just a copycat performance. Whatever. I'm loving Chris Richardson. Watch out...he'll definitely be one to look out for. Probably one of the only guys to give the women competition. Looking forward to tomorrow night. C'mon girls...show 'em whatcha got!!

An apparent suicide watch for Britney Spears has been vehemently denied by her manager, Larry Rudolph:

"She is in rehab, and it is very disappointing that various media outlets are running these false stories about her, as Britney tries to get better."

Looks like she's on track....This is her third day in rehab and she's hasn't bolted yet.

"The Ultimate Gift"

A few years ago, Jim Stovall wrote a book entitled "The Ultimate Gift". This was just the beginning of something big. His heartfelt message of sharing what you have with others has now resulted in a movie entitled, appropriately, "The Ultimate Gift". It will be released on March 9th and stars Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin, James Garner, Ali Hillis, Drew Fuller, and Brian Dennehy. The movie's message is just like the book, "The only way you can truly get more out of life for yourself is to give part of yourself away.” There have been more than 300 pre-screenings which have prompted over $5 million in donations to various charities. What I love about this movie is the fact that now schools are starting to convey this message into their lesson plans. It has inspired "Show of Hands", which connects teens with charities they want to support.

This is the official site of the movie "The Ultimate Gift" and the grass-roots movement its starting to help charities and give to others. Again, the movie starts on March 9th. Watch a little snippit here on You Tube. You can see why "Little Miss Sunshine's" Abigail Breslin is nominated for an Oscar this coming Sunday.

Britney checks into rehab....baby, baby, one more time....

Britney has checked back into rehab, according to TMZ. Kevin and Britney apparently agreed late Wednesday that he would keep their two children while Brit was in rehab. Brit's Mom Lynne drove her back to Promises late Wednesday, both reported by Extra and The Insider.

At this point, if Britney does not stay in rehab, I have no sympathy for her. I would think that her children would be reason enough to get herself back to normal. As I've said before....if she doesn't shape up - she'll end up just like Anna Nicole Smith. What a waste.

Britney checks into rehab....again

According to Britney's spokesman, she entered rehab today after a bizarre weekend in which she shaved her head.

"Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today," publicist Larry Rudolph said in a statement. "We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those (privacy concerns) of her family and friends at this time."

There is no information regarding what type of treatment Britney was seeking or which facility she entered, though reports on People magazine and TMZ.com have reported that it was in L.A.

Let's just hope that this is not a one day affair at rehab and she get the help that she truly needs.

Bridget Moynahan pregnant with Tom Brady's baby...

Well, well, well. It looks as if Bridget is three months preggers with Tom Brady's baby. They did split late last year and Tom has been seen cavorting around town with Gisele Bundchen.

"Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy, and want to thank everyone who has shown support, and particularly for their consideration of Tom's privacy," Brady's agent, Don Yee, told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

The next six months should prove to be quite interesting with this new twist to the Moynahan/Brady/Bundchen triangle.

Anna Nicole Smith dies

Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead earlier today after she was rushed to a Florida hospital. She was found unconscious in her hotel room.

Smith has been embroiled in a bitter paternity suit involving her daughter, Danielynn. She was also included in a lawsuit against Trimspa, for which she was spokesperson, and the lawsuit claims that the marketing of TrimSpa X32 was false or misleading.

What a sad tale...I am truly shocked by this.

The Young and the Restless

I was flipping through the channels this morning and ended up stopping at The Young and the Restless. I hadn't watched the soap for years and couldn't believe some of the people that were on there way back from when I watched it in the 80's. I was surprised that Lauren (Tracy Bregman) was still on the show (whom by the way still looks fabulous). I can remember when I first started watching The Young and the Restless, it was summertime and somehow I got hooked on it. I was so intrigued by the whole Lauren/Traci/Danny storyline. I loved it...then when school started back up again - I just coudln't catch up. (Why didn't they have TiVo back then?). So, I kind of scrapped that show off my list. Well, I went to check out soaps.com to get the latest on Y & R and got a lot of juicy gossip...hee hee. Like...Victoria Rowell (Dru) will be leaving the show...AGAIN. She had asked to be let out of her contract in April. Sorry Dru fans...she leaves you yet again. Their whole Y & R section is chock full of great info - you can get daily updates for anything you missed on that day's show, who's coming and going on the show, spoilers, and great interviews with the cast. I think I might just start watching again - and even if I miss an eppy, I can simply go online and catch up.

Ryan O'Neal accused of assaulting his son

Ryan O'Neal was arrested early Saturday morning "regarding a battery that had occurred" at his Malibu residence. He is accused of assaulting his son, Griffin O'Neal. Ryan was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm. He was released on a $50,000 bond.

Evidently the elder O'Neal and Griffin got into an argument and Neil Hassman, Ryan's Manager, said that he was simply defending himself after his son began swinging a fireplace poker wildly. Griffin's pregnant girlfriend was injured in the incident, but was treated and released at a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Hassman claims the injuries were caused by Griffin and not by Ryan.

I feel sorry for this family. They're all just totally screwed up. I hope that Redmond (Ryan's son with Farrah Fawcett) isn't as messed up as his half sibs.

Prince will headling Super Bowl halftime show

Yup, the Purple One will be the star of Super Bowl XLI's halftime show in Miami on Sunday. I love Prince...brings back memories of those 80's high school days when we would play his records...yes, records.

Billy Joel will be singing the National Anthem, the first time a performer has sung it twice in Super Bowl history. The last Super Bowl he sang at?....1989 in Miami...How ironic.

It should be a great halftime, looking forward to it. Well, and the game too.

Whitney's in a rush to get her divorce final

Well, well, well. It seems that Whitney is in quite a rush to get her divorce finalized. Hmmm, is she anxious to get hitched to her new boy toy, RayJ (the younger brother of Brandy). They are reportedly living together.

They met a week after Thanksgiving and have been together since. Whitney spent the holidays with the whole Norwood family and apparently Whitney and RayJ's Mom clicked.

Whitney is asking for full custody of her daughter, 13 year old Bobbi Kristina, with her soon to be ex Bobby Brown.

Brandy being sued for 50 million dollars

Of course by now you've all heard about Brandy's car accident on December 30. The accident killed a 38 year old mother of two, Awatef Aboudihaj. Her parents filed a 50 million wrongful death lawsuit today against the star. They claim that she was driving recklessly when she rear ended Aboudihaj's car, thus leading to a chain reaction in which Aboudihaj unfortunately lost her life. If Brandy is convicted to the charge of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence, which was recommended by investigators, she could spend up to a year in jail.

I am really looking forward to this movie coming out. It stars Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham, and Stephen Collins, all of whom I like. It's basically about a middle aged woman who is Mom to three daughters (Lauren Graham, Mandy Moore, and Piper Perabo). She tries to set up her youngest daughter (Mandy Moore) with a date (whom she found on an online dating site) and of course things don't go as planned. I saw the trailer to the movie on videodetective.com. They have tons of trailers to new movies coming out, older movies, classics, etc. I was watching some TV clips too...Oh and yeah, you can even get the dirt on some of your favorite stars. You know me with wanting to know the latest on those celebs, I bookmarked the site so I can be up to date. Visit the new VideoDetective, where movies live on the web. As far as the winners are concerned, some of my favorites did take home awards - Jennifer Hudson of "Dreamgirls", "Little Miss Sunshine", "The Office" (I'm a HUGE Steve Carell fan), Chandra Wilson of "Grey's Anatomy", and of course "Grey's Anatomy". I was quite disappointed that Steve Carell did not win for "The Office", but was happy that Alec Baldwin beat him out (he's another one of my faves). I do like America Ferrera but I think that the award should have gone to Julia Louis Dreyfuss (I mean come on, she obviously is doing well considering the Seinfeld curse). Otherwise it was a pretty good night. And now for the winners:

I am really upset right now. Beside myself. Don't know what to do. You see, Dixie Martin is going to die. Who, pray tell is that? Why, she is the love of Tad's life, mother of JR, grandmother to Little Adam, niece of Palmer Cortlandt, stepmother to Jamie, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I could go on forever. Still not in the loop? She is my favorite character on All My Children. I missed an episode yesterday so I got my daily update on Soaps.com and found out on the All My Children Spoilers page that Dixie is leaving the show and is being killed off. If this decision is from the powers that be at All My Children, just know that this s one unhappy fan.

Nick Lachey and Vannessa Minnillo wedding bells

According to BANG Showbiz, we might be hearing wedding bells for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo in April. He has apparently proposed to Vanessa and told her to keep April open. A source told tabloid magazine National Enquirer: "They're moving forward with plans for an April wedding. Since they both love Baja in Mexico it will probably happen south of the border, where they first fell in love. When he married Jessica, Nick had a big splashy Texas wedding with all the trimmings. This time he wants something a lot simpler, so they decided on a low-key affair."

I hope that this time Nick does find happiness with Vannessa. Unfortunately we all know the sad tale of celebrity marriages. Maybe this time I'll be wrong.

The Belisi Blog

I've been checking in regularly on the Belisi Blog to see what the latest is on Hollywood fashion. They have some photos posted of Gisele Bundchen and Jennifer Lopez. Of course, they look beautiful. They always do.

One thing that really caught my attention was the fact that Belisi just launched a campaign called, "What's beautiful to you?" It made me think about what's beautiful to me. Beautiful has so many meanings across the board. It could mean beautiful as in a "beautiful baby", a "beautiful smile", or "beautiful hair". To me, it's more about the simpler things in life...the look on my 6 year old daughter's face when she learned to tie her shoes, my 9 year old's smile when she makes a basket for her basketball team, or the way my son will burst into the door upon coming home from school and showing me his A+ he received on a project. Although I do think that the audition shows are funny in some respect, I do wish that they would just get on with it already. I'm already growing tired of hearing the horrible singers and looking at their shocked faces when they're not going on to Hol-ly-wood. I really liked the Sundance guy from yesterday's audition show. Something about him...I thought he was cool. The guy who looked like Castro...you know the one with the freakin' long beard and long hair? I liked his sound and he reminded me of Elliott Yamin from last year. I have New York's audition TiVo'd so I'll be watching that hopefully in the next day or two. And that Ian guy????? Whatever.....Weirdo

The 80's are coming back.....

I have to laugh about the title because my husband Bryan has said for the last year that the 80's are coming back. I told him that no, I am not going to go out there and get a spiral perm or anything like that, but one thing that I do remember from the 80's are the leggings. On the The Diva's Dreams Blog, they stated that yes, the leggings are back in a big way. You can pair them with a nice knit dress, or put it together with a baby doll dress, which has new a-line or trapeze shape. Well shoot, I don't have any leggings in my wardrobe currently, unless you count the capri leggings I wear when I work out, so should I go with the trend and get some myself?

I confess...I'm a soap opera addict

Yes, I am. I have been watching Soap Operas probably since I was 10 years old. My mother is a faithful All My Children fan, so she turned me into one too, and the other soap I watch faithfully is Guiding Light. I have them Tivo'd so I don't miss an episode. I'll watch Days of our Lives here and there but not religiously. Last Friday's episode of Guiding Light was pretty intense and I've scoured message boards this morning to see what happened on today's episode (since it doesn't come on until 2:00 here) - the suspense was killing me. I found a new site, soaps.com. It has everything - daily updates, comings and goings, spoilers (my favorite hee hee), and message boards. I have it bookmarked so I can go there everyday and catch up. Way cool site!!

Chad Lowe's new girlfriend

He is seeing producer Kim Painter (she is pictured at left). As you all know, he split from his wife Hilary Swank last year. Lowe and Painter were seen together at the LA premier of Carrie Fisher's one-woman show, Wishful Drinking, which Painter was a co-producer.
The couple have been seen together often, at the Golden Globes, and even having dinner with Chad's family at Mr. Chow.

Okay, so I told you already about the Sharp by Design Blog by Belisi for men, and now I'm going to tell you about the The Diva's Dreams by Belisi, a fashion blog for women. "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time," said the 20-year-old actress in a statement released Wednesday. She entered Wonderland Center in LA Wednesday afternoon.

"I haven't had a drink in seven days. Or anything," she is quoted as saying to People Magazine. "I'm not even legal to, so why would I? I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking. It's more fun. I have Red Bull."

Let's hope for the best or here is yet again another young star's career down the drain.

Well, well, well, my quest for losing weight will probably come to a stall this summer when Sprinkles Cupcakes, the cool and swanky Beverly Hills bakery opens up a store here in Scottsdale. They are known for their long lines and celebrity clientele.

The first Sprinkles opened in 2005 and customers would wait in long lines to buy its sinful cupcakes, which are made with such lush ingredients like bittersweet Callebaut chocolate and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, then top it off with fondant dots and real chocolate sprinkles from France. Here's what's gonna help me out though...the price tag. A cupcake goes for $3.25 EACH and $36 for a DOZEN!!

Hey if someone like Tyra Banks (who is a regular customer) can eat them and still look the way she does, then there's hope for me yet....

Lily Munster has died....

Yvonne De Carlo, who played Lily Munster in "The Munsters", died on Monday. She was 84 years old and died of natural causes. I can remember coming home from school and watching this show. It was definitely one of my favorites. They certainly don't make shows like they used to. *sigh*

I love looking at all the latest paparazzi pictures out there of celebs. I love it when they catch our fave celebs doing the "normal" things in life like going to the grocery store without makeup (eeks some of those gals are scary looking!) or if they're just out and about running errands in their sweats. I was looking at my camera and am now thinking that there would be no way I could take great pictures like the paparazzi do...for one my camera is a 5 megapixel...geez and only after two years it's so out of date. According to a report by BANG Showbiz, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz have split.

Justin has allegedly been telling friends that his relationship with Cameron is over. The couple have been together for three and a half years. the couple's three-and-a-half year relationship is over. He was reportedly telling friends while he was at the Memphis nightclub Senses over the Christmas holiday break, "Me and Cameron? We're done."

According to America's Star magazine, Justin told friends while he was partying at Memphis nightclub Senses during the Christmas holidays: "Me and Cameron? We're done." He was seen on several occasions in his hometown with a former high school girlfriend, 25 year old real estate agent Vernoica Finn. Finn was once in a girlf band, Innosense with another ex of Cameron's, Britney Spears.

Barbara: "I don't regret hiring Rosie."

This morning on "The View" Barbara Walters made some clarifications regarding the spat between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump. In response to the claims that O'Donnell made about Trump's finances, Walters read a statement that was prepared by ABC. "Just to clarify things, and I quote: Donald Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy. Several of his casino companies have filed for business bankruptcies. They are out of bankruptcy now. That's the end of the quote."

Donald Trump then went on to say to Inside Edition via a telephone interview that "They were afraid they were going to be sued, they know it was the truth and I respect ABC for doing that."

Barbara also stated that Donald Trump had been reported as saying that she was not happy with the decision of hiring Rosie on "The View", and Barbara said that that it was nothing further from the truth. "I have never regretted, nor do I now, the hiring of Rosie O'Donnell".

Okay I am so over this whole thing already. Give me a break.
